Ymir

Original Ray Harryhausen figure. Released in 2004 as a limited edition of 100 bronzes offered by Brian Anthony Restorations. This casting from the long sold-out edition and is an Artist's Proof. The bronze was based on a plaster statue gifted by Ray to Forrest J Ackerman in the late 50s. It was the same exact size as the animation model but was used as stand-ins on the set while lighting. Such maquettes were used to protect the considerably more delicate animation model from prolonged exposure to heat.

The bronze series was licensed by Columbia Pictures.
