This incredible bronze sculpture of the Metaluna Mutant was sculpted by world renowned science fiction illustrator, Vincent Di Fate. Although most recognized for his illustrations, this is his first foray into sculpture! The piece reflects Vincent’s appreciation for the classic 1955 film, This Island Earth, which starred Jeff Morrow, Faith Domergue, and Rex Reason. Here for your consideration is Vincent’s rendition of one of the most iconic and memorable 50s-era creatures from the long list of Universal Studios monsters. This bronze will serve as a lasting tribute to the imaginative design work of Universal’s special effects group and especially the creative genius of Jack Kevan.
